Anthony Eyers

Anthony was born and educated in England and called to the English Bar by Inner Temple in 1994 before practicing exclusively in criminal law in London, Manchester and Liverpool until 2007.  Since 2008 Anthony has practiced as a criminal barrister in Perth, Western Australia.

Over the years Anthony has defended in more than thirty homicide trials as well as representing accused persons facing allegations across every aspect of the criminal law spectrum.  Anthony believes wholeheartedly in the presumption of innocence and the right of all individuals to receive a fair trial in which the evidence against them is fearlessly tested to breaking point.

During the course of innumerable trials clients have included, amongst thousands of others, doctors, lawyers, politicians, policemen, accountants, organized crime members and hit men (as it proved).

Anthony has a particular interest in complex financial cases but prides himself in representing all persons facing criminal allegations with equal energy, concern and single-mindedness.

Anthony was named as the lawyer of the week by The Times in England several years ago and Anthony is featured in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Doyle’s Guide to The Australian Legal Profession as a leading criminal law barrister in the Perth legal market (as identified by his peers for his abilities and expertise) and in 2018 was categorised as pre-eminent criminal law barrister in Perth.
