OVERVIEW
Katie is an experienced barrister practicing in the area of criminal law.
She was admitted to practice in 1999 in NSW, commencing her career with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where she provided advice on complex drug importation, tax fraud and money laundering matters before transferring with that Office to Western Australia to provide advice on complex commercial and financial crime.
In 2017 she commenced as a State Prosecutor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, providing advice and acting as jury trial counsel for allegations of serious offences of personal and sexual violence, complex drug matters and fraud in the District Court in Perth and regional areas of Western Australia.
She was called to the bar in 2025 and continues to appear as counsel in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts on a range of serious criminal matters in Perth and regional Western Australia, including jury trials, directions hearings, sentence and bail hearings.
